November 5, 1951 at 3:00 a.m. on the Baltimore Road at the Asper farm. A diesel motor used to power a stone crusher started a fire in a frame building. The building and motor were were a complete loss. Damages were estimated at $1,200. Firemen had the blaze under control in 20 minutes and were on the scene over on hour. The
Vigilant Hose Company answered the alarm.
