Leesburg House Burns

On November 7, 1963, at 10:30 p.m. a structure fire was reported in Leesburg, Southampton Township Cumberland County. A faulty flue sparked a blaze that did extensive damage to an occupied multi-family, 2-1/2-story frame house. The fire gutted a room on the first floor and second floor with extension to the attic. One civilian was burnt attempting to escape the blaze. Firemen were on the scene one and a half hours. A damage estimate was not available. The Vigilant Hose Company battled the blaze.

The photograph was taken November 7, 1981 at the Vigilant Hose Company's Ladies Night banquet. I will let you guess the people.

You did pretty good Pat, most people at WEFR did not know that was me. You needed to be active in the late 70's early 80's to know the other two. Glad you found the site and I hope you enjoy it. By the way is this old or young Pat.

The older-smaller one. Great site. Keep it up.

My first guesswas Butch, Sundance and the rest of the Wild Bunch.
Little Shoopy is missing Queen Beth White in the front. Back row, second from the left is Mike "Wrong Way" Russell and the forth, is a guess, I'm thinking Staler or Graham.

It is Tony not Statler in the back row and you got the others right. Dang we were an ungly bunch back then, who would ever believe Kenny with hair.

Pat if your Dad has not seen the site, please show him there will be many things posted from his days in town.

Well that had me stumpped a little. I thought the one beside Tim was Barry Holtry. Would have never guessed Mike Russel.

Great site Brad and enjoy seeing the older pics.
