New Air Wagon In Service

January 15, 1981 the Cumberland Valley Hose Company placed into service a 1980 Chevrolet step van known as Air Wagon 53. The $23,000 unit was delivered March 1980. In the past nine months eight 6,000-psi cylinders, radios and lights were installed to make the unit ready for service. The Air Wagon is capable of filling 100 to 120 scba cylinders. On January 18, 1981 the unit responded to its first call on Britton Road for a house fire.

Brad, do you have a pic of the new traffic 52. It was the old air unit from CV's. They nicknamed it "the over the hill gang".

I do have a photo of it as traffic 52.

Would you like a pic of my Dad and old man sanders with the traffic unit? Where were you the other day for the trailer fire?

I am interested in any photos from Shippensburg, I can't see those two directing traffic though. I planned on coming up to ride Wed or Fri since the Chief would be off then. I picked the wrong day and you all worked the job. Now I made other plans for today so you will be busy or catch another job. Last week I just got on the Interstate when you caught the 52 job and I watched the smoke for miles. I have no luck, but things are looking up as of today I have 5 years and one month until retirement.

So when you retire in five years and 1 month, does that mean you are coming back to Shippensburg to be the Boro Chief/regional Chief?
