In the Friday May 5, 1933 edition of The News Chronicle it was reported that the Scotland Fire Company was building a new fire hall and community building. The main hall to be 60 feet, 4 inches long and 34 feet and 4 inches wide and equipped with a hard floor when finished. The main hall to used for a gymnasium, community meetings, church suppers and others things. There will also be an annex to the building to be used as a kitchen and for holding township elections and to store the chemical fire engine when not in use.
The building was being build with concrete blocks and steel. It was located almost at the outskirts of town along the Fayetteville Pike. When finished the building would cost approximately $4,000.

Bobby, I don't have that answer for you, it may be some place in my files but I don't have time to look it up right now. Maybe some of the older guys on the site like Gerald or Crawford know the answer to your question.
It is located on the ground of the SSVC their last engine is still there Jim Lowery can fill you in on it. This is where Denny and I were going to train junior members with SSVC junior members. The orginal engine is in a garage on main street Scotland owned by Donnie Mohler. He owns DJ truck repair king street exit Shippensburg

Actually, this building still stands aloing Scotland Main Street next where the old elementary school used to be. If you look above the front door, it still says
"Scotland Firemans Community Center" or something along those lines.
