Bank Barn Destroyed, 100 Chickens Lost
On January 7, 1955 at 9:00 a.m. firemen responded to a barn fire at Newburg R.D. 1. Faulty wiring sparked a blaze that destroyed a barn, wagon shed and implement shed. Lost in the blaze were 100 chickens 350 bushels of grain and 35 tons of hay and straw. Firemen were able to save the hog pen. Damages were estimated at $10,000. The Vigilant Hose Company answered the alarm.

Do you where where the Mack went from here ? (This article)
I have not been able to confirm it yet but I was told a local saw mill purchased it and used the hydraulics to make a log splitter and the chassis was to be used on another truck (I think a tow truck). I will find out eventually and get photographs. I see you made a couple of comments yesterday, did you just find the site? Hope you like it, and pass it along. Brad
I knew about it for a while and I try to look in a few times a month. I just finally decided to make a post or two. But I love the site, theres always something on here that interests me.
