A fire of undetermined origin gutted a second floor bedroom and caused heat and smoke damage to the rest of the second floor of an occupied 2-½-story frame dwelling. Firefighters had the blaze under control in 12 minutes. A damage estimate was not available. The Chambersburg, Franklin and West End Fire and Rescue companies operated at the scene (others may have responded but the article did not list them).
