Borough Shed Damaged In Morning Blaze

On September 26, 1977 at 7:30 a.m. Shippensburg firefighters were alerted to a building fire on West Burd Street at the Borough Shed. A fire that started in the loft caused extensive damage to a 1-½ story frame storage building. Firefighters were on the scene one and a half hours. A damage estimate was not available. The Vigilant Hose, Cumberland Valley Hose and West End Fire and Rescue companies answered the alarm.
