Fire Damages Home Near Cleversburg

On September 18, 1938 at 6:45 p.m. firemen were alerted to a house fire near Cleversburg. Fire destroyed the roof and damaged rooms on the second floor of an occupied 2-½-story frame dwelling. A defective flue caused the fire. The first floor suffered smoke and water damage. Damages were estimated at several thousand dollars. The Vigilant Hose Company answered the alarm.
