Vacant House Damaged In Suspicious Fire

On September 11, 1985 at 6:08 p.m. a 52 box was alerted for a house fire at 322 E. King Street. An arson fire caused heavy damage to the rear of an unoccupied 2-½-story frame house. The fire extended to the second floor rear of 324 E. King doing minimal damage. Firefighters had the blaze under control in 29 minutes and were on the scene for two hours. Damages were estimated at $10,000. The Vigilant Hose, Cumberland Valley Hose and West End Fire and Rescue companies answered the alarm.
